This nutrition program is ONLY 90 days short and is broken down into 3 phases! It’s fast, powerful, & effective. The goal of this diet is to reset your metabolism and weight set point so you don’t gain it back. Body compositions are performed at the beginning of every phase. The goal is to burn FAT and increase lean muscle.
You will be intermittent fasting throughout the program & it serve a key role in your weight loss. This means you will eat all allotted food in each phase within a 6-8 hour period and fast for 16 hours. NO SNACKING within the 16 hours. This allows for your body to deplete the glucose you converted from food for energy within a couple of hours after eating. Then your insulin levels will drop and you will tap into your ketone bodies from your fat cells for energy instead of converted glucose from food.
Research has shown great benefits to intermittent fasting including but not limited to: changes function of cells, genes and hormones, weight loss (belly fat), reduce insulin resistance, decrease inflammation, increase in energy, mental clarity, resets metabolism, targets fat cells, decreases cravings and hunger. This diet has been proven to reduce weight, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. It is doctor supervised for your safety and success.
PHASE 1 (REDUCE PHASE DAYS 1-30):
First month is a low calorie diet based on your basal metabolic rate consisting of protein, veggies & fruits. Little to no exercise is required in phase I. We will be focusing on fixing your pains & aches with our licensed medical professionals.
Phase 2 (Restore Phase Days 31-60):
Introduce healthy fats, protein & increasing your daily caloric intake. During this phase we will implement a body weight exercise regimen to replace unwanted fat with lean muscle mass. You will be guided on a proper exercise program, work on form & posture by our licensed medical staff.
PHASE 3 (RETRAIN PHASE DAYS 61-90):
You will be increase to normal calories based on your basal metabolic rate. You will now introduce healthy carbs and identify cautious foods. During the last phase our licensed staff will be helping you tone up with high intensity interval, resistance and weight training. The goal in this phase is to strengthen your muscle that support your spine & joints for long lasting pain relief. Caution: side effect of this phase is you looking your absolute best in your skin!
Continue to use healthy eating habits for the rest of your life with your new weight point and metabolism. Think about the 80/20 rule throughout the week with a healthy lifestyle most days & the ability to indulge on your favorite foods once in awhile. Continue to avoid simple carbs, starches, dairy and sugar.
Do I need to exercise?
During the first phase of the ZENITH diet we believe successful weight loss is 80% dependent diet and only 20% on exercise. It is more important to focus on eating the proper amounts of healthy foods than going to the gym. However, walking just 20 minutes per day is not only good for your overall health but it will help you lose weight faster, and make you happier.
Why do I need to drink half my body weight in ounces of water every day?
Water suppresses your appetite. Dehydration can slow your metabolic rate down and stall fat loss. In fact, in a 2013 study showed 14 healthy men and women increased their metabolic rate by 30 percent after drinking about 16 ounces of water! More than 80 % of your body is made up of water so drinking plenty of it makes sense. Drinking plenty of water also helps flush your fat and toxins stored in your fat cells, digestive organs and kidneys. By drinking plenty of water you will feel great, look skinny & add a radiating glow to your skin!
Why can’t I eat foods with sugar and starches on the ZENITH diet?
Starches break down into sugars during digestion and sugar stimulates insulin and insulin turns it into fat. The effectiveness of the ZENITH diet is to release energy from your fat cells will be interrupted when sugars and starches are ingested. Failure to stick to the diet will minimize the weight loss results.
Can I be on the diet if I’m vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or lactose intolerant?
Yes, in fact the diet is naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. Tofu & protein shakes are permitted which is a great protein source for vegetarians and vegans. Along with healthy vegetables & fruit. We also supplement with B12 supplements & injections for optimal energy levels!
Won’t I starve if I intake a low amount of calories per day or slow down my metabolism?
No, because as the diet releases energy from your fat reserves your body begins to “consume” the fat, which acts as a source of energy in place of food. Depending on your weight, you burn up to one pound of fat each day (one pound is 3,500 calories). Therefore you will not experience extreme hunger or slow down your metabolism. The world record for fasting is 382 days, you will be fine fasting for only 16 hours a day!
