Meet Dr. Gill - Zenith Chiropractic
Growing up, I always had an innate desire to help people. I knew from a young age that healthcare was my calling. I was determined to make a difference in the lives of those around me. What I had seen my whole life up until I started Chiropractic school was medicine as the solution for sickness. With this mindset, I decided to pursue a career in pharmacy. Working as a pharmacy technician throughout my university years at UT Dallas opened my eyes to a truly broken system. Patients would come in month after month attempting to “treat” a disease with medicine that was actually just masking symptoms and not addressing the root cause. I was introduced to chiropractic towards the end of my senior year in college and with just a limited understanding of what its philosophies were, I took a leap of faith and redirected my goals by applying to and attending Parker University. It made all of the difference.
Though the curriculum was rigorous, challenging, and fast-paced, my four years of extensive training at Parker University were absolutely transformative. I learned about how amazing and resilient our bodies are and how, with proper alignment, nutrition, and fitness, they can be a powerhouse of healing and growth.
At ZENITH, we educate & implement exactly that through our recommendations. Our goal is to transform you into your best self. Our lineup of professionals under one roof allow for us to provide you a truly integrated and all-encompassing solution to your healthcare needs. It’s what I love the most about being a part of this movement. It’s more than just a job. We’re changing lives at ZENITH every single day and I feel excited, honored, and optimistic about the true healthcare we are bringing into the community.
Gursimran Gill, DC
ZENITH Founder & Owner
We had the good fortune of connecting with Gursimran Gill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gursimran, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
There are so many factors that attribute to my success & the success of the ZENITH brand. The MOST important factor would definitely be my wife Sara. I believe it’s so important to have a supportive & encouraging spouse to help you succeed in life. She’s always been there to help me realize my true potential and push me to the best version of myself that I could possibly be. I also believe that transitioning into the role of being a father a little over two years ago gave me a new perspective on my purpose in life. I have two beautiful sons now who bring me so much joy and happiness. I choose to be a better person and business owner every day because I proudly carry the responsibility of shaping my children into being upstanding humans.
The ZENITH brand has definitely evolved over the years but at its core we have always been here to help others achieve what they want out of life. We aim to set SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic & time bound) goals & expectations for every patient and help hold them accountable to achieving them. We have 5 out of 5 star reviews for each of our 3 DFW locations (and growing!) We customize our programs for each patient and are highly skilled in treating individuals from all walks of life.
Our purpose at ZENITH is to serve and to provide the best injury relief & wellness care to our patients in order for them to achieve better overall health and quality of life. I’m most proud of the impact we make on every patient that we care for & the results we have been able to achieve. I pride myself in having grit and am firmly committed to my long term vision both personally and professionally. Thinking back to where I started and where I am today, I’m grateful for all of the challenges and ups and down. They’ve helped me grow personally and have allowed me the unique opportunity to impact so many lives through my business. It has not been an easy undertaking. As a startup there is so much to learn and sometimes I ended up learning the hard way but every challenge brought with it a tremendous amount of wisdom and blessings. Always doing the right thing, not taking shortcuts, and the platinum rule of treating others the way they would like to be treated have been my biggest takeaways from entrepreneurship so far.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of my favorite things about living in DFW is all of the amazing restaurants we have close by! My wife Sara & I love trying out new spots for our weekly date nights. Some of my favorite areas to go out to are Legacy West, Downtown Mckinney, Deep Ellum & the Design District. Our favorite restaurants are Mash’d, Fogo De Chao, Rye, Eight|11, Fireside Pies & North Italia.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The most important factor behind my success has been my family. My wife Sara has always pushed me to do more & never settle for being average. She is the mother of my two wonderful sons, Isa and Adam, who make my world go round. She introduced me to Chiropractic school during our senior year of undergrad at The University of Texas at Dallas. I was in the process of pursuing a career in pharmacy and spent the better part of 4 years in college working as a pharmacy technician at CVS. She could see that I was getting burnt out and wasn’t finding joy in this career path. Making the switch to pursue my Doctorate in Chiropractic at Parker University was one of the best decisions of my life. The curriculum I was exposed to at Parker University is what has laid the foundation for my practice. My team and I are committed to educating patients on addressing the root cause of their lifestyle diseases through Chiropractic, nutrition & physical activity rather than taking a pill for every illness. Furthermore she motivated me to think bigger by taking my learnings & work experience to open up my own practice and scale to multiple locations.
My mother and father are also tremendously important factors in my success. They taught me the true meaning of taking risks, hard work & grit. As first generation Americans, they sacrificed everything by leaving behind their family & home in India to move to the US to pursue a better quality of life. Growing up, they were always working 2-3 jobs at a time so that my siblings and I were able to have everything we needed. They always encouraged me to focus on my education to become successful. I will forever be grateful for the love and care they poured into raising me and for instilling such important values into my life.
My father-in-law is someone that believes in me, has invested in my vision, and encouraged me to open my practice. As an ethical and highly successful entrepreneur, he has always guided me to do the right thing and to be fair with others. I always turn to him for advice whenever I am going through any challenges or need to make a balanced decision. He is always there to give me sound advice. He gave me the confidence I needed to take risks and to become a successful business owner. He is a pious man and one with a strong conviction to his moral compass. He believes in doing the right thing; always. I admire him deeply and am so grateful for his love and support.
My siblings have always been a guiding light in my life. I am so proud of each of them. Gurtej, my younger brother, shows me everyday how resilient and capable he is of achieving great things with his life. My sister Navreet has overcome so much adversity only to prove to the world that she was born to thrive. Her children are so respectful, kind, hardworking, and loving – a true reflection of their mom. And I’m pretty sure they’ll be famous athletes one day so when you get to the top, don’t forget about your Uncle G!
Dr. Rob Vasquez took me under his wings at one of the most fragile times in my life. He mentored me and guided me into a life of morality and perseverance. He showed me the true value of coaching, reading, learning… my wife and I will always be so grateful for the role he played in my life and my journey as a Chiropractor. Dr. Sunjay Wagle, another mentor I had the privilege of working alongside with, taught me how to become an excellent clinician. He guided me on how to work with other healthcare providers, make the best diagnosis & plan of care for best patient outcomes.
There are so many people I am thankful for… friends and family near and far have shaped me into the person I am today. I will always be so humbled and grateful for anyone who took the time to impact my life. Thank you.
